Kamala Harris Announces New Nursing Home Regulations as Healthcare Career Expo Set for Erie: Attendees to Explore Job Opportunities and Network with Local Healthcare Professionals

Nearly 30 Erie-area employers participate in health-care job fair hosted by LECOM

Vice President Kamala Harris recently announced new regulations for nursing homes and home health care providers that receive federal funding, aimed at improving the quality of care for residents and patients. The Biden Administration’s move comes in response to the growing demand for healthcare professionals, as evidenced by the upcoming Healthcare Career Expo on Monday.

Representatives from Erie’s top health systems, including UPMC Hamot and Saint Vincent Hospital, will be present at the event. With nearly 30 local healthcare employers participating, attendees will have the opportunity to explore various job openings and career paths in the field. A wide range of healthcare positions will be discussed at the expo, including licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, therapists, dietitians, radiology technicians, and social workers. In addition to healthcare roles, professionals in finance, real estate, and insurance will also be available to provide information and assistance to attendees.

The Healthcare Career Expo offers attendees the chance to network with professionals in the healthcare industry and explore potential job opportunities at no cost. Refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in raffles throughout the event. This job fair aims to connect individuals with rewarding careers in the healthcare sector and provide valuable resources for those seeking employment in the field.
