Pasco County Residents Urged to Participate in Community Health Needs Assessment Survey by DOH-Pasco

The Florida Department of Health in Pasco County (DOH-Pasco) is currently seeking input from the community through a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) Survey. This survey, which is available in both English and Spanish, gathers important data on nutrition, physical activity, access to care, and mental health from residents of Pasco County.

The survey is open until April 15, 2024 and can be accessed through the link bit.ly/49jcn1t or by scanning the QR code. The data collected will be used to develop a community health improvement plan based on the specific needs of the residents. Trang Chitakone, Health Officer at DOH-Pasco, emphasizes the importance of community input when it comes to addressing urgent health concerns.

“Community input on health needs is critical for prioritizing and addressing pressing issues,” says Chitakone. “By participating in this survey, residents can help raise awareness, promote action, and drive positive change in their community.”

To participate in the survey, individuals must be 18 years old or older and live within Pasco County boundaries. The survey consists of 16 main questions with additional follow-up questions based on responses as well as demographic questions. It’s estimated to take around 10 minutes to complete.

The Florida Department of Health is nationally accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board and works towards protecting, promoting and improving the health of all people in Florida through various efforts at different levels such as statewide, countywide and community-based initiatives
